About

The person behind the firm.

Jonathan R. Larkin founded J.R. Larkin & Co. on a single premise — that the most consequential decisions a person makes deserve more than transactional advice. They deserve a trusted advisor who holds the full picture, asks the harder questions, and stays with the client through the complexity that follows.

His practice is built around clients who have built something real and are now deciding what comes next. Not what is possible — what is actually worth doing. That distinction has become the standard J.R. Larkin & Co. brings to every engagement.

The Firm

Judgment is rarely a solitary exercise.

J.R. Larkin & Co. draws on a deliberately chosen group of senior advisors whose experience extends the Firm's judgment across the matters its clients encounter. Each is a practitioner of consequence in their own field, called upon where their perspective can sharpen a decision, challenge an assumption, or help carry an engagement through.

Jonathan R. Larkin

Jonathan R. Larkin

Principal

As Principal, Mr. Larkin holds the full picture across the Firm's engagements — drawing on experience across global consulting, public service, and military operations to help clients determine not simply what they can do, but what is actually worth doing, and carrying that judgment through the complexity that follows.

Where a decision calls for deeper perspective, he draws selectively on the Firm's senior advisors and outside specialists, bringing the right experience to the table while remaining accountable for the whole.

Deborah Reyes

Deborah Reyes

Senior Advisor

Risk & Financial Advisory

For nearly three decades, Deborah Reyes has advised chief executives and boards where decisions carry regulatory or political weight. She directed government relations for a national financial-services company across dozens of states and counseled its board's risk committee on exposures that rarely appear on a balance sheet.

What she brings to the Firm is a panoramic judgment: where leverage sits, where risk is building, and how events are likely to move before they do. Where a decision turns as much on people and interests as on the numbers, hers is the counsel that sees the whole field.

Senior Advisor

Leadership & Institutional Development

John Boggs has built his career around the practice of leadership — developing and advising people carrying consequential responsibility. A retired United States Marine Corps Colonel, his career reached the strategic center of national leadership — including service as Chief of Staff of the National Defense University, Dean at the Eisenhower School, and a Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. Today, as an executive coach, he works with chief executives, founders, boards, and senior leaders navigating the human dimension of consequential decisions. At J.R. Larkin & Co., he brings that judgment to questions of leadership, succession, and institutional continuity.
